Double Degree PhD in Computer Science – University of Nottingham and PhD in Electrical Engineering at University of Chile

The program allows obtaining the degree of “Doctor (a) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Chile and Doctor (a) in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham”, awarded by both institutions. One of the main objectives is for students to carry out frontier research at both universities.

Once accepted, applicants must enroll, for no more than three years, as full-time students in the “PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Chile and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham” programs, with the aim of obtaining the degree of “PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Chile and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham”.

One of the main objectives is for students to carry out frontier research at both universities, with a minimum of one year permanence in each of them. For this purpose, the students will be assigned a doctoral project which will be jointly supervised by academics from both universities.

To join this double degree doctoral program, applicants must pass the qualification exam from the University of Nottingham or the University of Chile, in addition to submitting to the review and approval of the applicant’s background by the postgraduate committee or equivalent at the partner university. Additionally, to comply with the immigration requirements of the United Kingdom, the students of the University of Chile must prove proficiency in the English language before traveling to England.
